About Pendec-Industrial Cooling Fan Manufacturer

Pendec Electronics originated from Pendec Electrical Technical Consulting Co., Ltd., which was founded in May 1987 by Mr. Ho-Pin Cheng. The company initially specialized in providing consulting services for safety certifications of electrical and IT products for the U.S. and European markets (UL, CSA, TUV, VDE, SAA), assisting Taiwanese manufacturers in obtaining international safety labels. Between 1987 and 1994, the company successfully completed over 100 certification projects annually. In 1993, the company was renamed Pendec Enterprise Co., Ltd. and became the authorized distributor of SUNON, Taiwan’s largest fan manufacturer, covering the Greater China region. With a wide service network across Taiwan and Mainland China, the company served clients in a variety of sectors including computing, consumer electronics, network communications, automotive electronics, power supplies, security systems, industrial PCs, and automation equipment. Its products were widely adopted in information technology applications such as notebooks, servers, PCs, IPCs, HDDs, hubs, DVRs, and power systems. The company’s capital grew from NT$20 million in 1993 to NT$100 million by 2005. Its office space expanded from 2,000 sq. ft. to a self-owned 19,000 square feetfacility located in Taipei’s Neihu Technology Park. Key clients included Quanta, Compal, Mitac, Tatung, Inventec, Darfon, Waffer, AIC, Tyan, and others. In 2005, the fan business unit alone generated annual revenue of NT$220 million. In 1999, the company established a subsidiary—PAL Acoustics Technology Co., Ltd.—and became the only certified acoustic testing lab in Taiwan recognized by DELL. It provided acoustic measurement and optimization services for clients during the R&D phase. In March 2005, PAL Acoustics received NVLAP certification from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). To support the growing demand from DELL and its suppliers (Quanta, Compal, Wistron, Delta, SUNON, ADDA, Panasonic, Toshiba), a semi-anechoic chamber was established in Kunshan, China, in January 2003, enabling localized testing services. Currently, semi-anechoic chambers in both Taipei and Kunshan provide acoustic testing for NB, PC, IPC, projectors, servers, DVD players, LCD-TVs, fans, and HDDs. Major clients include Intel, DELL, HP, NEC, Toshiba, Acer, ASUS, Wistron, FIC, Tatung, Tyan, and others. In March 2023, the company concluded its long-term distribution partnership with SUNON. Building upon over two decades of experience in thermal management, Pendec Electronics Co., Ltd. was formally established, launching its own brand “Pendec” with renewed focus on thermal innovation, Pendec is committed to delivering high-performance, reliable, and customizable cooling solutions to meet the evolving needs of the electronics industry.
